Learn what are our student cancellation policy

Less than 24 hours notice

If a student needs to cancel a lesson, they must notify their tutor at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the lesson. Failure to provide the required notice will result in a cancellation charge of 50% of the lesson's duration. This fee is charged to compensate the tutor for the lost opportunity cost since they committed to tutoring the student during that time.

 

We understand that sometimes changes need to be made with limited notice. However, since the tutor has already committed to the lesson, we charge a fee of 50% of the lesson if the cancellation or alteration is made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time.

 

More than 24 hours notice


If a student cancels a lesson with more than 24 hours' notice, the lesson can be rescheduled at no additional charge. However, if a student cancels more than three lessons within a 14-day period, additional charges may apply.

 

Please note that the first occurrence of a cancellation by either the student or tutor will be given as a warning. 


Exceptions to this policy may be made in cases of unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or a family emergency. In such cases, the student must provide the tutor with as much notice as possible.

 

Please note that this policy is subject to change, and any changes will be communicated to students in advance. We will try to waive the fee in extenuating circumstances, but this will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

 

In the event that a tutor cancels a lesson at the last minute, the same policy applies. The tutor will have to compensate the student with additional time.
