At Tutor Lim, we understand that circumstances may change, and a student may no longer require tutoring services. In such cases, we offer the option to transfer unused tutoring credits to another student who can benefit from them. This knowledge article will guide you through the process of transferring credit to another student within our system.

Step 1: Contact Our Support Team

If you have tutoring credits that you would like to transfer to another student, please contact our support team via email, phone, or our student support ticket portal here and provide your account information, including the booking ID. Additionally, please provide the relevant details of the new student you wish to transfer the credits to, such as their name, email, mobile, and secondary information like their school/university, course syllabus, year level, and subject.

Step 2: Verification Process

Our service team will verify the details provided and may request additional information for validation. This ensures the integrity of the credit transfer process.

Step 3: Credit Transfer Confirmation

Once verified, our service team will confirm the successful transfer of credits to the designated student's account. You will receive an email notification with the transfer details and updated credit balances for both students.

Step 4: Communication with the Receiving Student

You may then inform the receiving student about the transferred credits and encourage them to reach out to our service team for assistance.

Step 5: Utilising Transferred Credits

The receiving student can use the transferred credits for future tutoring sessions. Our system will automatically deduct credits during the scheduling process.

Step 6: Monitoring Credit Balance

Custom/Discounted Package Deals

For Custom/Discounted Deal, falls under the Prepaid bundle category. Please note that your hours are non-refundable for cash but can be transferred as credit for later use or to another student.

Custom Programme
For Programme-type learning, our team has invested significant time in preparing your course programme, including materials and handouts. We understand your desire to change subjects; however, it's important to note that your hours are (1) non-refundable and (2) non-transferable as per our company policy. This policy applies specifically to university bachelor, master, PhD, and industry training programs.

Credit Transfer Fee
An administrative fee will be charged for subject changes or credit transfers to another student.

For PAYG engagements, we will seek an additional payment of 1 tutoring hour.
For Prepaid Bundles or Group Learning, 1 tutoring hour will be deducted from the package.

Tutoring Credits

Transferred credits are non-refundable and cannot be converted into cash.
The transferred credits remain valid for the same duration as the original credits from the initial account.
It is the responsibility of the existing/ receiving student to manage and utilise the transferred credits effectively.
